💧H2O INTRO 🤝 Meet Deandrah Cameron of New Jersey Future

What happens when overburdened communities and overburdened water systems meet? Too often—nothing gets fixed. But Deandrah Cameron helps change that.

As a policy manager at New Jersey Future, Deandrah works at the intersection of environmental justice, funding, and drinking water. She helps forge local partnerships that bridge trust gaps, overcome financial barriers, and unlock funding for lead service line replacement—especially in low-income and immigrant neighborhoods.

“My dream is to have everybody talking,” says Deandrah, “and to say, hey, there’s a solution here—and there’s a door open for philanthropy to come in.”

Deandrah was a participant in the Water Center at Penn’s Regional Network Collaborative for Water Leadership.
