Newsha Ajami of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory explains why the first pillar of the Aspen National Water Strategy calls for a major shift in how the U.S. thinks about water. The strategy makes the case for elevating water as core infrastructure, aligning policy, investment, and planning around its role as a driver of economic growth and resilience. As demand rises and risks increase, treating water as an afterthought is no longer viable.
